To make money online is not an easy task as many of us have discovered and are constantly writing what we feel are good original articles and experimenting with different affiliate programs, ads and constantly tweaking and changing things in an effort to maximize our online profits.
A large part of this money making game is in the numbers. Get enough people visiting a website on a continuous basis and a percentage of them are going to be clicking on ads and making us a few bucks.
More often than not it gets me wondering what kind of traffic should we be focused on driving to our sites?
I mean It’s great to have regular visitors who are interested in what you have to say on certain topics and take the time to make the odd comment but regular visitors and RSS subscribers aren’t really visitors that are going to help with making money online as far as ads are concerned because most of us who spend lots of time online became “ad blind” years ago.
Visitors landing on our sites for the first time however through organic search results are more likely to click on the odd advertisement.
So although I am very grateful that I get regular visitors to this site through RSS and other means I would like to get some thoughts from anyone who has an opinion on this matter and what kind of traffic we should be focused on getting to our websites in order to be maximizing an online profit?
